Disabled Facilities Grants Petition Launched
25 August 2016
The editor at Disability United, Fleur Perry, has discovered that on top of failing to prevent avoidable injuries, the underfunding of the Disabled Facilities Grant may have cost the taxpayer more than £47 billion in the last 5 years.
A petition has been launched to make sure that all disabled people can have the adaptations they need. It is also petitioning for the government to calculate the annual need for DFG funding at a local authority level and ensure that this funding need is met.
